A spotlight on 3 themes to show you a bit of the endless possibilities of this small territory.

DAY 1. HISTORY

In the morning meeting of the participants in Spilimbergo, city of mosaics par excellence and seat of the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli (Friuli School of Mosaic Art). This small city received the award of “Gioiello d’Italia” (Jewel of Italy) in 2013. Noteworthy are also the Cathedral with its 13th century frescoes, the castle with its Painted Palace, the Upper Palace or Palazzo di Sopra in the Valbruna borough, the Chiesa dei santi Giuseppe e Pantaleone (Church of St. Joseph and St. Pantaleon) and its historical centre with its narrow alleys and porticoes (eventual visit at the Scuola Mosaicisti). We will proceed to Valvasone, one of the most beautiful boroughs of Italy. Buffet and wine tasting at the Borgo delle Oche winery.
Afternoon: visit among the alleys of this ancient medieval structure, dominated by its castle. Its Cathedral holds a precious 16th-century organ of Vincenzo De Columbis, belonging to the Venetian school, while the littlest European theatre can be found in the Castle.
Transfer to Sacile, accommodation in Hotel Due Leoni, dinner and overnight.

DAY 2. NATURE

Transfer to Magredi winery. Departure for a bike excursion through the Magredi territory with a tour guide. On the journey back there will be a picnic in the vineyards consisting of products from the winery Cantina Magredi and Azienda Agricola Cesare Bertoia (farming business). Later there will be a guided tour of the winery.
We will proceed to Villa Manin for a stroll through the park of the villa. Typical dinner at the Restaurant Da Bepo.
Back to the hotel for overnight stay.

DAY 3. TASTE

Transfer to Marano Lagunare. Boat tour with Battello Santa Maria in the Marano Lagoon, WWF oasis and visit to the ancient fishing huts in order to discover the fishing traditions of the lagoon. A fresh fish lunch will be served on board the boat or inside the fishing huts.
Back to Marano in the afternoon for a walk in the ancient fishing borough. Wine tasting at the Baccichetto Umberto winery in Precenicco.
End of services.
